What are Gel-X Extensions?
Gel-X is perfect for those seeking a lightweight extension that safeguards their natural nail and serves as a great in-between option as their nails grow and no longer require nail extensions.

Change your nail shapes as much as you like with our preformed extensions! Applied to the entire length of the nail, there are no half-broken nails with Gel-X.
The most trending shapes right now are almond, a classic, feminine option known for its effect of elongating the fingers, while the alternate squoval shape combines square and oval for a practical, chic look. They're calling this more natural look the no-nicure! Since Gel-X is a nail extension system, it gives even longer artificial nails a natural appearance.

What are the benefits of Gel-X Extensions?
The most prevalent reasons people prefer Gel-X nails are their natural look, durability, & gentle effect on nails, as acidic-based products are not used. Instead, LED light and pH bonder are used to adhere the extension during application.
According to the National Library of Medicine, Gel-X nail extensions (yes, there was a study!) come in at only 0.15 millimeters, maintaining flexibility while retaining durability.
Allow for more time than you would for an acrylic fill, as each Gel-X session requires a completely new set.
What if I already have fine or damaged natural nails?
Overfilling your nails can have damaging effects at times, which is why we recommend scheduling with one of our professional Nail Artists if you receive manicures regularly. They do not emit the same chemicals that are linked to respiratory issues or allergic reactions like acrylic nails and reduce the risk of nail bed inflammation, as they are not filled but entirely replaced at your next visit.
The Verdict Between Gel-X and Acrylic?
That's up to you!
The two on the left are Gel-X extensions, while the set on the right is a structured gel manicure.
While both can be tailored to achieve a certain style or look, Gel-X nail extensions are generally thinner while still offering excellent durability. The health of your natural nails depends less on whether you choose Gel-X or acrylic and more on proper nail preparation, professional application, and careful removal.
Although Gel-X is soaked off rather than filled, removal at home is not recommended. Attempting to remove extensions yourself can easily damage the natural nail, so we always recommend having them professionally removed by one of our Service Providers.
How long do they last?
3 weeks is what's typical for replacement, and of course, it depends on daily environmental exposures.
